Previously a BEAMIT company, 3T Additive Manufacturing will now become a subsidiary of precision equipment manufacturer SBO  (formerly Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment), headquartered in Austria.

Headquartered in the UK, 3T supplies finished metal components and sub-assemblies, and is EN9100:2018 certified for series production and manufacture. The company operates a fully integrated production facility, serves an international customer base across various high-tech industries, and in 2024 generated sales of around MGBP 5.

With this acquisition, SBO is strengthening its position in the AM market. The company will gain access to established customer relationships, modern production infrastructure, and a highly qualified team, enabling it to further accelerate its growth strategy in the field of additive manufacturing.

The move will also increase its metal AM capabilities which already include investment in in-house equipment from Velo3D.

We are successfully driving forward technological innovations, diversifying our business, and capitalising on market opportunities – even in a demanding environment,” stated Klaus Mader, CEO of SBO. “Thanks to our strong financial position and our global locations we are well positioned, and we execute on our strategy, as also demonstrated by our acquisition of 3T Additive Manufacturing Ltd.”
