Renishaw’s equipment now available in new AM solutions centres

2016 marked the first launches of Renishaw’s Solutions Centres. The engineering technologies company aimed (and still does) at securing the development environment with additive manufacturing (AM) systems including its multi-laser machines, alongside all the metrology, finishing and machining equipment required to make a functional part.

Today, the company is expanding this network to regions such as Barcelona, Spain and Torino, Italy where local companies could get access to equipment and expertise at an affordable cost.

Italy and Spain are still two growing markets in Europe. Despite the additive manufacturing companies based there, local companies are still reluctant to completely embrace additive manufacturing.

In these new centres, Renishaw will continue to raise awareness, and make them understand the product performance impact and assess the capability and costs of the technology.

According to Marc Saunders, Director of Global Solutions Centres at Renishaw, “the Solutions Centres have proved to be a successful way for manufacturers to accelerate learning about this new technology. Early users of the Solutions Centres, who have benefitted from accessing our facilities, are now deploying Renishaw’s multi-laser, productive additive manufacturing systems in their own facilities.”

So far, all over the world, one can already an investment in over 36 countries through the launch of a subsidiary network. Renishaw’s AM Solutions Centres are already operational in India, Canada, America, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy.
