Real estate: the investment of Standard industries in a 3D Property Modeling Platform

Standard Industries and GAF renewed their partnership and investment in Hover, a platform that provides 3D models of properties.

Standard Industries is an industrial company with interests in building materials, aggregates, and related investment businesses in public equities and real estate. GAF on the other side is a parent company of Standard Industries and the roofing and waterproofing manufacturer in North America. Standard Industries aims at improving its industrial operating businesses by taking advantage of the technology.

Furthermore, as far as 3D printing in real estate is concerned, Wouter Vandenneucker recently explained in an interview related to real estate and architecture that interactive 3D models would be the key to add value to its offering in this sector.

The investment in Hover

It must be said that in 2016, GAF was the first roofing materials manufacturer to make use of HOVER’s 3D technology. The company realized its potential and usefulness for contractors. Contractors have increased their close rates. The technology enables them to build their business, save time and costs, while giving homeowners the chance to try out new GAF products before making a purchasing decision. By eliminating the time-consuming and often arduous process of taking measurements by hand, the GAF e360 mobile app powered by HOVER has changed the way roofing contractors do business.

Our contractors are realizing the benefits of HOVER’s technology and we look forward to continuing to work with the HOVER team to create state-of-the-art solutions for our customers”, said Kathy Reiland, Head of M&A for Standard Industries.

Together with HOVER, GAF launched the GAF e360 mobile app to their contractor base, with thousands of contractors that are now active users of the platform. GAF will add new features to their e360 mobile app exclusively for certified contractors, including the best pricing on the market, dedicated training resources and a suite of enhanced membership options.

According to Jim Schnepper, President of GAF, they have already received positive feedback from their network of contractors about GAF e360 powered by HOVER. The truth is that and experienced significant labor time savings.

The e360 app is available via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
