PostProcess confirms compatibility of DEMI 910 Resin Removal Solution with Carbon® DPR 10 3D Printing Resin

In May 2021, Postprocess Technologies has unveiled a new resin removal solution specifically designed for the Carbon 3D printers.

Named DEMI 910, the solution works with the post-processing expert’s software AUTOMAT3D® and is based on its patented Submersed Vortex Cavitation (SVC) technology. If you are not familiar with Carbon®, please note that the digital AM Company develops a wide range of manufacturing solutions including industrial 3D printers based on its proprietary Digital Light Synthesis™ technology.

We learn today that the DEMI 910 resin removal solution is now compatible with Carbon® DPR 10 Resin, a material that meets the production needs of several industries, mainly dental and orthodontic model productions.

Postprocess Technologies explain that with a specialized fixture design, the DEMI 910 can automatically remove resin for an entire build platform from a Carbon large-format L1 Printer or two build platforms from a Carbon high-resolution M2 Printer.

A press communication also explains that the that this solution yields improvements in user experience, efficiency, and throughput when compared to cleaning with isopropyl alcohol. The PLM-450-SUB detergent from PostProcess has proven to be chemically compatible with Carbon DPR 10 resin, and results in consistent resin-free parts. In addition to Carbon DPR 10, the DEMI 910 and PLM-450-SUB detergent are compatible with some of the most popular Carbon resins: EPU 41, EPX 82, MPU 100, RPU 70, RPU 130, UMA 90, and LOCTITE® 3D IND 405.

Speaking to this new advancement, PostProcess VP of Strategic Partnerships Dean VonBank, said, “Like all of our automated 3D post-printing solutions, the DEMI 910 was designed to deliver scalability and efficiency for additive manufacturing users. Expanding our Carbon partnership to include compatibility with DPR 10 means a streamlined and more sustainable process for Carbon customers in the Oral Health and other industries.”
