OVE and Memjet launch full-color FFF 3D Printer

OVE and Memjet partnered to develop affordable professional full color 3D Printer.

OVE is a Polish manufacturer based in Warsaw (Poland). The company has been working for four years now on the development of this technology.

Memjet on the other hand is a San Diego based company that designs and develops modular printing technologies that combine printheads, inks, data paths, and modules.

As part of this collaboration, OVE designed and developed the A4 printer that is intended for professional users. Memjet brought its expertise in inkjet 2D printing solution, and combined thi technology with the 3D printing technology.

A similar vision in manufacturing has already been observed with the Japanese Mimaki that has built a whole universe around digital printing and that has leveraged its expertise in 2D Printing to develop its large-format 3D Printing machine.

Main features of OVE’s FDM Technology

OVE’s 3D Printer distinguishes itself from others of the same range by its modular design for additive manufacturing, high-speed color module, materials and software.

Firth of all, the Polish company has created a kit to enable OEMs to integrate Memjet’s 3D color module into their systems. Indeed, the 3D color module remains a key component of this device since it enables the rapid production of 3D objects in high-quality color.

Pluciennik, the CEO of the company states: “we have a deep knowledge of the Memjet high speed single pass inkjet technology and the OEM kit will allow other additive manufacturers to integrate quickly and simply into their platform of choice and expand the market for affordable color 3D printing”.

As far as materials are concerned, the printer processes several types of thermoplastics. However, the company will undertake other collaborations to develop another portfolio of materials that would enable new applications.

As for the software, its main advantage is the visual enrichment of 3D output that easily adds notations and colors, by applying textures.

Tomek Pluciennik, CEO of OVE said “We are in the final stages of commercialisation and excited about how professional and education customers will have access to affordable full color 3D printer.

At less than 10k Euros our system will cover a wide range of applications in industry, education, architecture, medicine, marketing, art & entertainment, and rapid prototyping and low volume manufacturing.”

OVE will take pre-orders during the FORMNEXT international additive manufacturing Conference and Exhibition 19-22nd November. Product shipments are schedule to commence in QII 2020.
