Outcome Health’s 3D anatomical renderings to facilitate women’s consultation

Outcome Health, provider of health education at the moment of care, partners with WomenHeart, a coalition for women with Heart Disease to deliver educational information to cardiologists, specialists of primary care, and obstetrics and gynecology providers.

The truth is that cardiovascular disease is one of the main causes of death among American women. “Nearly 1 in 3 Hispanic women have cardiovascular disease and more than 48,000 African American women die from heart disease each year.” Both organizations want to raise awareness regarding this sad reality and ensure as much as possible that every woman has access to “prevention, early detection, accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.”

Technically speaking, Outcome Health’s platform integrates technologies such as the Exam Room Wallboard. The latter gives access to 3D anatomical renderings for use during the consultation. Thanks to 3D renderings, physicians are able to zoom, rotate and annotate body systems and disease states to give patients a personalized visual of their health.

As part of the Minority Health month in April, the information deployed across Outcome Health’s network will focus on heart disease facts and figures for minorities, specifically African-American and Hispanic women.
