One Click Metal, imes-icore and i-ProDens launch a portfolio of products for dental 3D printing

In July, One Click Metal, imes-icore and i-ProDens decided to join forces to tackle the needs of the dental 3D printing market. The three companies are respectively 3D printer manufacturer, manufacturer of dental CAD/CAM production systems and a production centre.

It looks like this collaboration already bears fruits as the three partners have announced the development of the Bold Series Dental, a new portfolio for dental 3D printing that includes the CORITEC AM100 printer, as well as the CORITEC AMpure screening and unpacking station.

If you are familiar with One Click Metal’s portfolio, you will realize that the new 3D printer is based on its Bold series.

The company explains in a press communication that the comparatively low investment and simple operation make the AM100 and AMpure the ideal tool for production centers and dental laboratories. The system could produce up to 250 tooth units per build job. The 45um focus diameter enables finest surfaces and high accuracies, which are important quality features in dental production.

Furthermore, the machine is compatible with the Imes-Icore CORITEC 350i and 650i milling machines which makes it an ideal fit for hybrid production from 3D printing and milling for postprocessing. This means that the dental clinician benefits from a package that includes Data preparation, as well as printing and milling from a single source.

As for materials, it should be noted that, the i-PROMELT powder, a certified and quality-checked powder for dental applications, has been added alongside other products of this portfolio. The companies explain that the operator can feed the material directly into the process, without cumbersome filling of cylinders or construction chambers of the machines. Not only does this material delivers flow properties, it also ensures optimum surface quality with a particle size distribution of 10-30 μm.

This new portfolio for dental 3D printing will be commercialised by Imes-Icore GmbH as from Q1/2022.
