Car manufacturer Lotus has recently launched Theory 1, a concept car marking the start of intelligent-performance vehicles. At the heart of this development, one finds “The Lotus Theory”, a design manifesto built on three core principles: Digital, Natural & Analogue (DNA).

The heart of Theory 1 is the LOTUSWEAR™ proprietary system. Real-time haptic feedback by inflatable pods on the seats and steering wheel improves support and offers additional grip. In addition, the car flaunts advanced binaural audio that makes every beat of your favorite music heard in every seat a completely immersive experience.

Every guest enjoys a drive customized according to their travel needs. Also, LOTUSWEAR™ features 3D printed lattice headrests constructed in partnership with global 3D printing technology company Carbon to offer desired comfort to its users while driving by reducing weight, leveraging material efficiency & optimizing aerodynamics.

Carbon fiber recycled & recycled aluminum are two major materials from which the car is made. Its high-performance Pirelli tires deliver a great feel of responsiveness and efficiency. Minimalistic design features ensure its purpose in each component because it adds to the car’s agility while reducing its environmental footprint.

Proof of Lotus’ interest in building performance and innovation, Theory 1 gives a preview to cars of tomorrow with advanced digital capabilities combining the heritage of racing from Lotus to create a smooth traveling experience for its reliable users.
