With Norway as partner country, Hannover Messe will take place from April 22 to 26

With the ongoing fight against climate change, industrial companies have a crucial role to play in delivering climate-neutral solutions while taking into account the complexities surrounding the latest technologies. Being able to make the most efficient use of automation, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, renewable energies and hydrogen – some of the key technological solutions currently shaping the industry – is pivotal in this quest.

That’s the reason why, the 2024 edition of HANNOVER MESSE – the most important international platform and hot spot for industrial transformation – is themed “energizing a sustainable industry”.

For Mattias Dreher, Managing Director of Global Fairs (Deutsche Messe’s official representation in the Benelux), (…), “There is still a long way to go, yet we are already seeing all kinds of positive developments when it comes to pioneering technologies that contribute to that higher goal. The Hannover Messe is also the only event in the world where companies from mechanical and electrical engineering, industrial IT and software and the energy industry jointly present solutions for a powerful, sustainable industry. Together, the exhibitors represent a networked industrial ecosystem and demonstrate how automation, digitization, electrification, robotics and AI can enable climate neutrality.

Developments around hydrogen and fuel cells are also accelerating, Dreher outlines. “Scaling up hydrogen production is still a challenge at the moment, but in the longer term, hydrogen represents an important key to a green energy future. Green hydrogen is gaining traction as governments and companies invest in projects to decarbonize sectors such as manufacturing and transportation. Around 500 companies from the hydrogen and fuel cell industry will be present at Hannover Messe, including more than 300 at the group presentation Hydrogen + Fuel Cells Europe.”

With about 3,500 exhibitors among which dozen of Additive Manufacturing companies and more than 125,000 visitors, Hannover Messe is a show that goes beyond the AM ecosystem as it combines  industrial, political and social communities that all share the same vision for fostering solutions for large-scale production and energy supply of the future.
