The fully enclosed gMax 2 PRO, with its 18” x 18” x 24” (46 cm x 46 cm x 61 cm) print volume capabilities, can be purchased for $6,295

We have always talked to gCreate as one of the first 3D printer manufacturers to purchase Mosaic Manufacturing’s Palette, yet since 2013 – its founding year – the New-York based company has built up extensive expertise in designing and manufacturing large format 3D printers.

The latest addition to its portfolio is a large format desktop 3D printer that would be an affordable, scalable solution to supply chain woes. Named gMax 2 PRO, the FDM-based 3D printer is a “Made in the USA” device that can process a wide range of materials including polycarbonate, nylon, PEKK, ultra-flexible 60A TPU, carbon fiber composites, sintered-to-full metals, standard prototyping filaments, and more.

The US government and businesses are actively strengthening the domestic supply chain to have greater operational control, which makes perfect sense” says Gordon LaPlante, gCreate’s co-founder. “The gMax 2 PRO allows companies to bring prototyping and manufacturing reliably in-house, which saves time, money, and protects valuable IP.”

Examples of applications the gMax 2 PRO 3D printers can enable, include prototypes for spaceport interiors, drone covers in foam-like material with a weight that rivals carbon fiber at a fraction of the cost, components for hydrogen powered supercars, jigs and fixtures, to name a few.

To ensure every gMax 2 PRO customer is set up properly and ready to tackle their goals right out of the box, all gMax 2 PRO 3D printers are shipped flat-packed fully assembled, calibrated, and extensively pre-tested. A free one hour setup video call and unlimited phone and video tech support are offered with the purchase of a $600 One Year Pro Support Plan, the company says in a press release.
