This article has been updated with a comment from Forward AM.
On the heels of the insolvency process in Germany, Forward AM discontinued its activities in the US. The announcement first came from one of the company’s employees on LinkedIn.
According to Jeremy Vos who announced he will land soon in a new venture, there is a possibility that the company will open back up its office throughout this year. In the meantime, the US market will be served from the headquarters in Germany.
As a reminder, Forward AM would enter the final insolvency stage on February 1st if it is deemed to have sufficient assets to cover the costs of the insolvency proceedings. Ongoing discussions with key stakeholders aim to shape a plan for the future of the business. The long-term goal is expected to address the repayment of creditors and outline strategies for securing additional funding. Implementation of the plan will require approval from a majority of the relevant stakeholders.
Last week, Forward AM issued a formal announcement on its LinkedIn page about what one can expect from its US chapter:
“While we will now be servicing the North American markets directly from Europe, we’ve taken an important step to ensure we remain close to our customers, and partnered up with RP America, a leading AM distributor with strong technical and service expertise.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, RP America is a technically service-oriented partner with strong expertise in the technologies we sell. Their proven track record makes them perfectly positioned to continue delivering the trusted products, quality, and support you rely on.”
Hopefully, Forward AM will find a way to rise from its ashes and maintain steady & sustainable growth.
