Another interesting partnership witnessed at Formnext 2023 is the one signed by Farsoon Technologies, Hyperganic, and BASF Forward AM. Together they introduce an integrated 3D lattice solution for Additive Manufacturing applications.

The aim of this collaboration is to strengthen the 3D printing ecosystem with the hardware, software and 3D printing materials service from Farsoon, Hyperganic and BASF Forward AM respectively. This aims to help AM users get first-time-right lattice structures without any defects in the ultimate 3D printed parts.

The three companies seek to enhance their product offerings and software solutions through this partnership as AM parts find applications across industries.

The highlight of this collaboration is the less time-consuming Ultrasim® 3D Lattice Engine. The Farsoon Plastic PBF system produces lattices created with the Ultrasint® TPU 88A material, ensuring this way their validation and further use without any specialized tools usage.

This will enhance the efficiency and accessibility of the next generation of lattice, ensuring many users develop their own lattice applications based on validated lattice and printing settings.

The Director of Sales and Business Development at Hyperganic, Markus Finke said that this partnership will let many end-users “perfect 3D lattice structures”.

Oliver Li, Managing Director of Farsoon Europe GmbH said: ” Our partnership with BASF Forward AM and Hyperganic will introduce integrated and accessible additive manufacturing solutions for industrial users, and highlights our commitment towards driving innovation within the industry.”

Farsoon will showcase its customer-centric solutions and share real world stories on the use of its AM solutions in the aerospace and consumer goods industries.

Stefan Josupeit, Head of Powder Bed Fusion at BASF Forward AM said: “By translating BASF Forward AM proprietary expertise in TPU materials into accessible software powered by Hyperganic, we’ve democratized the creation of highly functional and intricate lattices. Our collaboration, powered by our lattice library, empowers engineers to achieve remarkable results in the world of additive manufacturing”.

Farsoon is demonstrating the 3D printed parts designed on the Ultrasim® 3D Lattice Engine at Hall 11.1, Booth C11 while BASF Forward AM is hosting a Lattice Generation Workshop Hall 12.1, Booth D61 at Formnext 2023.
