Additive Industries is doing things big. In a recent #OpinionoftheWeek, the company’s CEO, Daan Kersten told us their goal was to reach a top 3 position in the industrial additive manufacturing market.
In order to move further towards this goal, the Dutch manufacturer has secured an amount of € 10M, a fund from BOM Brabant Ventures and existing shareholder Highlands. This fund will be mainly dedicated to enable the international expansion of the company.
Since the creation of the company, 7 years ago, Highlands has always been a faithful believer in Additive Industries’ potential and capacity to serve several markets, especially given the existing potential of region like Eindhoven that hosts a wide range of high-tech equipment OEMs and that would have enabled the company to grow.
“Additive Industries plays an important role in ‘smart industry’ developments in Brabant, one of the cornerstones in our investment policy”, said Miriam Dragstra, CCO of Brabant Development Agency (BOM). “The company has everything in place to become a leading global player in its market. Both employment and innovation of Brabant manufacturing industries benefit from this. Therefore, we are proud to [finance] Additive Industries’ growth plans and assist the ambitious management team to expand their global footprint”.
Jonas Wintermans, co-founder of Additive Industries and Board Member of Highlands, together with his brother Boris takes the floor this time to remind how hard they have worked to build a stable and solid financial basis for this long-term goal. Today, the whole team remains confident in their ambitions and this loan is a proof-point of that.
What else can we add to these words? Apart from the fact that, given the recent partnerships of the company, its current opening positions and its already established centres around the world, Additive Industries also makes us believe in their capacities of expansion…The achievements that will be fulfilled thanks to this fund might determine whether or not they will make this dream a reality and we can’t wait to discover how things will turn for the manufacturer… #StayTuned
