Ceramic 3D printing company Lithoz expands its presence in India through partnership with WIL

Ceramic 3D printing company Lithoz has signed a sales partnership agreement with Wendt (India) Ltd., short for WIL, extending this way its operations to India.

Acknowledged for its expertise in the field of super abrasive grinding wheels and machines, the partnership is a win-win for both companies as WIL is adding another portfolio of services to its business. Founded in 1983, Wendt (India) Ltd has operated as a joint venture between German Wendt GmbH and Carborundum Universal Ltd (CUMI) and is ranked among the Top 25 Most Successful Indo- German Joint Ventures by the IGCC.

As a reminder, Lithoz currently has three technologies in its portfolio: LCM (Lithography-based Ceramic Manufacturing), LIS (Laser-Induced Slipcasting) and the recently added LSD (Layer-wise Slurry Deposition).

With the company’s bases in Austria, the USA and China, this latest partnership in India will ensure a much deeper understanding of a market described as a “fast-growing” one in the field of AM and its specific needs to lay the solid foundation for the strategic business development.

Dr. Johannes Homa, Lithoz CEO, says about the new partnership: “To successfully enter an important market like India, we are fully aware of the importance of choosing the best sales partner. We are very happy and excited to be working with the Wendt / Murugappa group in India and look forward to implementing their vast experience and business network in the field of machinery and precision components into our own work. As two market leaders joining forces, we are fully convinced that by uniting our expertise we will make fast progress in establishing ceramic 3D printing as an alternative production technology, strongly adding value in both fields.”

A combination of core values, such as the importance of the team behind the company and a strong emphasis on endurance and accuracy, has over the years strengthened Lithoz’s overall promise of always delivering quality equal or even superior compared to traditional manufacturing methods and to proactively driving forward their partner’s innovation, the company states in a press release.
