CADbro 2018 SP2, ZWSOFT’s new 3D CAD Viewer, its new features and its capacity to facilitate Production Collaboration

An efficient production collaboration is often presented as a difficulty encountered by engineers when working on a 3D software, especially when there is no appropriate platform. A few months after the launch of CADbro 2018 SP, ZWSOFT launches an advanced 3D CAD viewer, CADbro 2018 SP2, an assistant that might improve the efficiency of development and production collaboration.

The new 3D CAD viewer enables to access engineering & manufacturing data and collaborate when there is no 3D CAD/CAM platform, cutting this way the cost of product development and shortening the time-to-market.

Main features of the software

Main features of the software include multi-CAD Support, an easy analysis for mold supervisors and a markup tool for CAM Taskmaster.

3D CAD Viewers can open more than 25 types of 3D & 2D CAD files, such as CATIA, NX, Creo, Solidworks, and save them as lightweight & neutral formats, like PDF, HTML, for sharing with internal & external teams.

With CADbro 2018 SP2, a deep knowledge in CAD software is not really required. CAD professionals can effectively communicate design feedbacks and change requests, while non-professionals can quickly conduct business or marketing activities concurrently, like easy quotation etc.

When analysis for Mold Supervisors is facilitated…

Mold Supervisor underlines the possibility to detect the defects in the model and add machining requirements according to the result. With this tool, production units can now verify the availability of undercut, reduce human error & negligence as well as ensure the accuracy of machining.

As for the markup tool, it is now possible for CAM Taskmaster to integrate PMI or comments into manufacturing guide within height analysis result, which is a new function in CADbro SP2. Furthermore, a more comfortable dimension and measure display in HTML output file will enable designers to ensure a good follow up and avoid misunderstanding and miscalculation.

Speaking about this release, Colin Lin, Director of CADbro Overseas Business declares that: “CADbro 2018 SP2 supports online updates without complete reinstallation. From CAD design, mold to manufacturing, it enables cooperative work between different departments, saving cost on more complex and expensive CAD software.”.
