AMGTA continues its growth: five additional members join the non-profit organization including a new founding member

The Additive Manufacturer Green Trade Association (AMGTA) rings in the new year with five additional Additive Manufacturing organizations including a founding member.

Joining the AMGTA as a new Founding Member is Höganäs, an expert in metal powder printing solutions with production alloys catering to all different printing technologies and a total annual capacity of over 500,000 tonnes of metal powders produced at 17 strategically located facilities in 11 countries.

The company will serve alongside Desktop Metal, QC Laboratories, Divergent Technologies, Sintavia, Stratasys and Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation.

The new participating members that decided to promote the environmental benefits of additive manufacturing (AM) include: Arkema, a high-performance materials producer for 3D printing; Flam3D, the independent platform for all stakeholders active in 3D printing and additive manufacturing in Belgium and the Netherlands; Massivit 3D, an expert in high speed, large-scale 3D printing systems for a range of industries; and the UK National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM). Based at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry, the latter helps companies shape their AM strategy, develop their AM products and processes, and implement AM into production.

These new additions bring the total number of the consortium (led by Sherry Handel) to 40 members globally.
