Airway Management proudly announces a historic milestone with the FDA clearance of Nylon flexTAP®, a digitally printed single-point midline oral appliance device for sleep apnea. This device redefines patient care by combining cutting-edge patented Vertex Technology® with unparalleled comfort and efficacy, now FDA cleared for mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
This oral appliance combines a range of features designed to enhance both patient comfort and treatment effectiveness. Made from digitally printed medical-grade nylon, it delivers a precise, custom fit, while patented Vertex Technology® allows dual-axis movement to maximize airway space and minimize the need for excessive protrusion.
Patients with larger tongues or narrow airways will find it especially beneficial. With a 17 mm range of advancement in precise 1/3 mm increments, the device ensures optimal mandibular positioning to improve airway patency.
The ultra-thin custom TAP trays provide maximum comfort without sacrificing performance, making this the thinnest Custom TAP yet. Safety is prioritized through the use of BPA-free and metal-free biocompatible materials, and the simplified fitting process requires no bite registration.
Each appliance also comes with a mouth shield and the AM Aligner®. The oral appliance includes a nasal breathing accessory for improved efficacy, plus a morning exercise tool to reduce side effects associated with oral appliance therapy (OAT).
Backed by a 4-year warranty, this solution offers lasting reliability and peace of mind for both clinicians and patients.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Nylon flexTAP, a game-changer in oral appliance therapy,” said Charles Collins, CEO of Airway Management. “Feedback from key opinion leaders in our TAP Sleep Care system highlights its superior effectiveness and patient comfort. Peer-reviewed studies also confirm that our patented mouth shield, which promotes nasal breathing, significantly improves treatment outcomes. This innovation underscores our commitment to advancing sleep health.”
