This transaction marks the fifth acquisition for ADDMAN over the past 24 months.

Dinsmore, a polymer 3D printing service provider, is joining ADDMAN Group, a manufacturing business with a strong portfolio of industrial companies. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Florida, USA, the company is rapidly becoming one to watch with the acquisitions it secures to develop and implement customized manufacturing solutions across a wide range of industries.

The announcement follows the acquisition of Harbec, a contract manufacturer of tight tolerance precision 3D printed metals and plastics.

The company’s current portfolio includes: ADDMAN Engineering (an engineering powerhouse for additive design and implementation), Castheon (an additive manufacturing research & development and service company for high quality AM materials and robust AM production), Stanley Engineering (a producer of high volume components with automation and complex assemblies), Tech Manufacturing (a producer of complex, tight tolerance parts, of medium to large size) and Domaille Engineering (a staple of precision machining, manufacturing, and assembly).

By completing the existing additive and traditional manufacturing services, Dinsmore’s production capability will help ADDMAN further support the medical sector. With over 35 additive machines using leading technologies such as MJF, PolyJet, DLS, DLP, SLA, FFF and FDM, Dinsmore can support prototyping and low-volume production for customers in the healthcare industry (and more).

Jay Dinsmore, Founder and CEO, Dinsmore, provides “The synergies between our brands were undeniable and it made the decision to join ADDMAN an easy one for myself personally, along with the long-term advantage it provides my staff. ADDMAN operates with a level of integrity and understanding of additive that matches the high value proposition that is synonymous with the Dinsmore brand. Simply put, these folks get it! I’m happy to be a driving force in expanding their polymer business.”

Currently, ADDMAN can legitimately position itself within the ranks of organizations such as Nano Dimension and CORE Industrial Partners that have invested millions of dollars on M&A shopping sprees in the AM industry. And the interesting part is, they do not intend to stop here.

According to Joe Calmese, CEO, ADDMAN, the team is “planning for significant investment and growth in this arena going forward, and Dinsmore will serve as a core part of this strategy.”

Calmese reflects on the caliber of talent in the organization, stating “By joining forces with Dinsmore, we now have the largest roster of AMUG-awarded DINOs under one roof.” The Additive Manufacturing User Group (AMUG) awards Distinguished Innovator Operators Awards (DINO) to honor top leaders in the additive field. ADDMAN’s five DINO employees and advisors include: Dr. Youping Gao, Bob Markley, Jay Dinsmore, Bill Braune and Jason Lopes.
