Additive Industries doubles metal AM productivity with new machines

MetalFABG2 at Formnext

Dutch metal 3D printing service provider Additive Industries has just unveiled a large portfolio of AM services that aim to boost productivity and ensure quality assurance.

The company’s new solutions include the new MetalFABG2, the next generation MetalFAB with double productivity, MF Calibrate for automated multi-beam qualification, Additive Studios, which includes a variety of professional services and a partnership solution with Makino, Sigma Labs and Materialise.

Quick look at the new solutions

Compared to previous models, the new MetalFABG2 has over 150 updates implemented and features optimized gas flow, optimized heat management, updated process parameters and automated beam quality measurements. The system is Sigma Labs PrintRite3D ready. The MetalFABG2 is available in three versions: Core, Automation and Continuous Production.

The MF Calibrate on the other hand, is a multi-beam qualification tool that aims to ensure repeatable and predictable output. The tool automates the procedures for each beam, saving precious time. A normal manual procedure for beam quality validation for multi-laser systems can take up to a day. With this tool, it takes less than an hour.

While the partnerships with Materialise and Sigma Labs focus on improving workflow software, Additive Industries will develop other solutions with OEM Makino.

As a reminder, from its offices in Bristol, Los Angeles, Eindhoven and Singapore, Additive Industries offers services in the field of applications, design for AM, optimizing build strategies, process parameters and material development, production optimization and post processing methods.
