3D printing material company Siraya Tech has launched a sub-brand dedicated to high-performance wearable materials. Roamr, this brand is built with a “Born for Movement” vision in mind. It aims to fill the performance-comfort void in 3D printed footwear, providing designers and makers with unprecedented dynamic support.

Siraya ambitions to address the current challenges observed in 3D printing wearable materials. According to the company, standard Foaming TPUs, although they are lightweight, they lack sufficient energy return and can deform over time, resulting in a dull, uninspired feel underfoot.

Premium PEBA Elastomers may offer incredible rebound, but its nylon-based composition can feel overly rigid, sacrificing comfort during long-distance wear.

How does Roamr strike the balance ?

Roamr is a High-Rebound Foaming TPU calibrated specifically for footwear, ensuring 3D printed shoes provide professional-grade support without compromising comfort.

The first material of this portfolio, TPU Air HR (High Rebound), introduces several innovations engineered for the foot:

  • Footwear-optimized High Rebound (HR):Delivering 48%–50% rebound, it surpasses the energy return of standard TPU Air. It eliminates the “mushy” feeling of collapsing soles, providing an upward thrust with every step.
  • Ultralight active foaming:Achieves significant weight reduction, up to 50% (80A) and 57% (85A). This creates an “airy” structure that minimizes foot fatigue.
  • Variable hardness control:By adjusting printing temperatures, users can control surface hardness between 64A and 85A. This allows for the printing of different density zones within a single part while maintaining TPU’s natural flexibility, eliminating the stiffness of nylon for all-day wearability.
  • Professional textile-like finish:Roamr moves beyond the “plastic look” of traditional 3D prints. Once foamed, it presents a premium, fabric-like texture that is skin-friendly and meets production-level aesthetic standards.

Roamr is launching with two distinct hardness levels to cover every component of a shoe:

Roamr TPU Air HR 80A, positioned as “The Comfort Specialist,” is designed for midsoles, insoles, and liners, where a cushioned, plush walking experience is essential. The material features temperature-controlled hardness that can be adjusted between 64A and 80A, delivering a rebound rate of 48% to 51%, and will be launched initially in two colors: Noir (deep black) and Beige.

Complementing Roamr TPU Air HR 80A, is Roamr TPU Air HR 85A, positioned as “The Performance Standard” and engineered for outsoles and structural support applications where stability and durability are critical. Designed to be stable, long-lasting, and quick to snap back, this grade offers temperature-controlled hardness adjustable between 64A and 85A, with a consistent rebound rate of 48%. At launch, it will be available in a single color option, Noir (Tough Black), reinforcing its focus on performance and wear resistance.

To ensure seamless execution for creators, Roamr is deeply optimized for mainstream hardware. It features excellent compatibility with direct-drive extruders, including the Bambu Lab X1C, P1S, and A1 series, ensuring smooth extrusion and clog-free performance for large-scale prints.
