Via its new offer of services, 3D Systems will now propose customized solutions to customers using additive manufacturing technology.

Such as Velocity did, 3D Systems aims to strengthen its portfolio lineup through this new strategy. Furthermore, that will be an opportunity to give its customers the the broadest set of additive manufacturing software, services, and technologies in the industry, therefore, allowing them address the widest array of customer applications across industries.

What do the offerings include?

3D Systems will first provide new production plastic and metal materials.

Clients will get access to its suite of workflow software and to a next generation of printing systems that will enable them to scale from prototyping to production using the same materials.

Last, the company also renews its services capability leveraging its 30 years of additive manufacturing experience, advanced applications expertise and global footprint.

“We believe these announcements change the game for our customers and the industry by providing customized solutions to help customers overcome obstacles to adopting additive manufacturing,” said Vyomesh Joshi, president and chief executive officer, 3D Systems.  “We believe the innovation and capabilities we are announcing today will significantly accelerate our strategy to help customers move from prototyping to production, vertical to vertical, bridging the chasm between traditional and additive manufacturing.”

However, it should be noticed that the FabPro™ 1000, an entry-level production printer created for engineers, designers, but also jewelry artisans and fabricators will shed new light to the industry.

With all of these novelties, 3D Systems already draws the attention of strategic partners such as BMW which awarded a new 3-year contract to 3D Systems.
