In a new collaboration, designer Philipp Aduatz and 3D concrete printing expert Incremental3D have produced a “Metric Stool and Table”. This piece functions both as a stool and as a side table, combining aesthetics with utility.

Both partners have already worked together on several art projects involving the use of 3D concrete printing.  This time, 3D concrete printing was used with a recycled material.

A key feature is the terrazzo-like surface of the seating area, created by embedding recycled fragments from previous production cycles directly into the print. This approach not only gives each object a unique appearance but also highlights the potential of circular material use in contemporary design. Through precise color dosing during the printing process, soft gradients emerge that underline the sculptural quality of the form, the partners said.
