Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF) plans to demonstrate its microArch® S150 3D printer to European visitors at Formnext 2026. Introduced earlier in 2026 and already commercially available, the desktop system is scheduled to run live at the company’s stand (Hall 12.1, B51), according to the announcement reported here.

BMF lists an optical resolution of 25 µm and layer thicknesses of 10–100 µm for the microArch S150. The system uses its Projection Micro Stereolithography (PµSL) process. Optical resolution and layer thickness describe different specifications; neither alone guarantees the dimensional accuracy of a finished part.

The manufacturer also lists compatibility with high-viscosity materials, automated calibration and a touchscreen workflow.

As the company celebrates its 10th anniversary, this debut reflects its progress in applications ranging from microfluidics and fiber optics to biomedical devices and electronics.

Commenting on the microArch® S150’s Formnext introduction, Bryan Ferrand, President of Boston Micro Fabrication, says, “Reaching our tenth anniversary is an important milestone for BMF and gives us an opportunity to reflect on how far micro-precision 3D printing has come, as well as where it can go next. The S150 is a great example of that progress, bringing industrial-grade micro-precision capabilities to a compact, accessible platform.

“We’re looking forward to returning to Frankfurt and giving Formnext visitors the opportunity to see the S150 in action and explore what it could deliver for their own micro-precision 3D printing requirements.

“Although we only introduced the system a few months ago, we have been very pleased with the S150’s reception, particularly among labs and development and production teams looking for easier access to industrial-grade micro-precision manufacturing.”
