Rapid manufacturing services bureau 3Diligent has launched 3Diligent Consulting, a division that will develop strategies and designs for companies that are embracing Industry 4.0. The service is launched by Cullen Hilkene, a former Deloitte to help companies face this rapidly changing industry. An industry where there is a deep need for knowledge and skills, and where 3Diligent intends to stay ahead of the curve by providing strategic advisory and design advisory services.
In other terms, the service bureau will help companies embrace industry 4.0 through a wise use of AM.
Simply put, the company will guide its customers in the implementation of their Industry 4.0 strategy. The advisory service will consist in determining how digital manufacturing technologies like 3D Printing can be incorporated into broader corporate direction and supply chain strategy.
Foundational elements of a robust Industry 4.0 strategy such as voice of customer studies, business case development, and part identification for additive manufacture are some of the issues that can be addressed by 3Diligent Consulting.
As the name implies, design advisory services will consist in developing tangible part and assembly designs that are optimally suited for digital manufacture.
“There are a number of companies delivering Industry 4.0 consulting services, but none have the unique perspective of actually delivering parts across dozens of additive processes,” Hilkene said. “Combining 3Diligent’s hands-on experience with the rigorous training I gained delivering consulting engagements at Deloitte and am imparting to our consulting team, we are able to deliver our clients an unmatched value proposition.”
