UPDATED: 3D printer Wizmaker P1 can help protect the environment by saving at least 30% of energy while printing

This article has been updated on February 23 to highlight the different controlling options of the Wizmaker, especially the control through ASR Technology

The average 3D printer uses a noticeable amount of energy, up to 350W. We may expect more energy if it is used for several hours and we are only talking about those who use their 3D printers at home.

To enable users to make a more efficient use of their home/office 3D printers, machine manufacturer Wizmaker has developed a 3D printer with a patented Halo Bed technology. Tests show that the P1 can save at least 30% of energy, compared to other models of 3D printers on the market, the company ensures.

Needless to remind the impact of high-energy consumption on the environment. The Wizmaker team want the FDM P1 3D printer to be a clever move. “This purchase will transform the act of printing while at the same time creating savings for consumers. The Wizmaker P1 uses temperature control that allows it to consume 30% less energy per day if it is used for three hours, and this results in 82 kWh being saved for the year, which is equivalent to planting about 42 trees for the year.

Everyone wants to get their printing done as efficiently as possible while saving money and protecting the environment. These elements make the Wizmaker P1 a great option. Its intelligent zooming heating system makes printing light on your pocket and gentle on the environment”.

Hand operation is not the only way to control the 3D printer

There are multiple options for controlling the P1 Wizmaker 3D printer. One of the most innovative ones is to operate it through ASR technology.

ASR technology stands for Automatic Speech Recognition and enables people to speak to a computer interface – the process is very similar to having a conversation. First used in industries such as healthcare and customer service, it is now used in the 3D printing industry.

An ASR 3D printer allows users to quickly tell their printer what to do. Just as people can ask Siri or Alexa to do things on their smartphone, ASR 3D printer owners will be able to talk to their printer and ask it to carry out certain functions. This offers convenience that has never been available before when getting 3D prints done, the company explains.

The Wizmaker P1 is therefore an AI voice-control 3D printer. This is one of the most innovative 3D printers, which facilitates 22 commands. It allows users to get the most crucial functions via voice commands. Some of these functions equal stop, pause, cool down and cancel. Also, you can start up the printer by saying “Hello Wizmaker”, the team states.

The 3D printer will be globally launched in middle March this year on Kickstarter.
