XYZprinting unveils upgraded da Vinci Color 5D 3D printer

When it comes to manufacturing, one manufacturer that never sleeps is XYZprinting. The fast-growing company now aims to transform FFF Full-Color 3D Printing with the upgraded da Vinci Color 5D 3D printer.

With its attractive name, the new 3D printer integrates both an inkjet and FFF/FDM technology. With laser engraving capabilities, it is designed to combine “the 2D and 3D printing experience” of users.

The strength brought by each technology

The full color FFF technology enables the printing of materials with unparalleled speed, print quality, and productivity.

As for the new inkjet technology, it enables the device to apply CMYK ink to a color-absorbing PLA material. In other terms, the user takes advantage of the full spectrum of colors on the 3D prints.

In terms of improvements, color saturation and optimized ink usage have been improved, therefore enabling the creation of full-color prints while saving on ink. Furthermore, the manufacturer said that a newly developed 2D printing module enables printing on paper, using the same CMYK ink cartridges.

The printer integrates a large build volume and is designed with mono and full color features.
