Windows 10 Fall Creators Update: Bye bye 3D Builder app, hello Paint 3D and Print 3D!

With regards to a latest update of Windows 10, Microsoft announced that the Fall Creators Update will come now with Paint 3D and Print 3D instead of the 3D builder application.

At the beginning, the latter was implemented so that Windows 8.1’s users could be able to take complete advantage of the increasing accessibility of desktop 3D printers.

This is going to be easier for 3D designers and 3D printing amateurs now. The new features of Paint 3D will allow the latter to directly send their 3D designs to a 3D printer for printing.

Moreover, last year, Microsoft unveiled a patent back that will enable full-color 3D printing from Paint 3D.

When Paint changes into 3D…

This 3D update was first used as a link in the Paint toolbar. As it was popular with users, it has quickly become a unique solution. Some 3D designs can already be downloaded, edited before being 3D printed. In addition, some 2D template shapes are still available for users. And the icing on the cake is the integrated online 3D design community Remix.

According to Microsoft’s spokesman, “[a] list is intended to help customers consider these removals and deprecations for their own planning. The list is subject to change and may not include every deprecated feature or functionality.”

The Fall Creators Update’s release date will be announced later but rumour has it that it will be in September.
