VIDEO: BCN3D celebrates 35 years of SUPER Mario with a 3D printed rainbow road

If you are part from the Generation Y (born between 1981 and 1996), then Super Mario Bros. has certainly affected your life in a certain way.

The platform video game developed and published by Nintendo is frequently mentioned as one of the greatest video games of all time with more than 40 million physical copies. With a multimedia franchise that includes a long-running game series, an animated television series, and a feature film, Super Mario Bros. alongside Mario himself, has become prominent in popular culture.

The iconic video game celebrated its 35th anniversary this year, creating a feeling of nostalgia among the fans. This anniversary was also marked by the release of Super Mario Bros. 35 for the Nintendo Switch and several tributes to THE mascot.

While 35 people played the original Super Mario Bros. simultaneously, each vying to be the last Mario standing, the team at BCN3D had the great idea to 3D print a rainbow road, to celebrate this occasion.

The team 3D printed 4400 square parts allowing to assemble a replica on the famous “Rainbow Road” stage. Without further ado, take a glimpse at the video below :
