Sculpteo and Forward AM by BASF unveil new high-performance 3D Printing Materials

Sculpteo and BASF Forward AM announce the launchof high-performance 3D printing materials. Available at Sculpteo 3D Printing service business, the new materials are approved for industrial usage, and would be suitable for manufacturing industries such as the automotive.

This announcement is the first publicly news shared by the French company since it became a BASF company. Both companies wanted to join their strengths to improve Sculpteo’s offering towards its existing customers and the launch of these materials proves out they were right to take this move.

During the acquisition of Sculpteo by BASF group, we promised you that combining the strengths of these companies, BASF and Sculpteo, would provide new opportunities for our existing customers, and help you go even further in your projects. With this launch of approved materials for industrial usage, our service bureau is offering new manufacturing possibilities for sectors such as the automotive industry”, said Sculpteo on its website.

The new materials include then Ultrasint® TPU01, Ultrasint® TPU 881, Ultrasint® PP nat 01, Jet Fusion PP, Ultrasint® PA6 FR, as well as Ultrasint® PA6 MF.

Not only do they enable the manufacturing of large parts, but their properties can meet the constraints of the transportation industry: stronger and more resistant to heat, flexible, and cost-effective

Clément Moreau, CEO and Co-Founder of Sculpteo, adds “We are happy to provide our clients with an extended portfolio of materials. These technological materials give industries the freedom of envisioning and developing devices which will revolutionize mobility at a much higher pace”.

Forward AM on the other hand, is the 3D printing brand of BASF 3D Printing Solutions that provides the industry with the largest selection of 3D printing materials and service solutions.

By working with Sculpteo, Forward AM has an agile, market-oriented partner which allows the company to quickly validate materials and rapidly deploy them among its industrial clients integrating 3D printing”, explains Dr. Dietmar Bender, Managing Director Forward AM.

Today, Sculpteo has doubled its production capacity in France, and demonstrates today it is capable to reinvent its clients manufacturing portfolio and BASF Forward AM’s customer base.
