Nikon SLM Solutions and ArianeGroup partner to support the fabrication of components over 1 cubic meter

Machine manufacturer Nikon SLM Solutions and aerospace company ArianeGroup partner to support the production of ultra-large-scale components over 1 cubic meter, using powder bed fusion. This collaboration aims to set a new benchmark in the aerospace and defense sectors.
With this partnership, Nikon SLM Solutions will keep demonstrating advanced additive manufacturing technology for highly complex, large-format components. These must meet stringent quality and productivity requirements. This opens new possibilities in functional integration and performance optimization.
This partnership is a clear demonstration of how additive manufacturing continues to evolve as a foundational tool for the space industry. By minimizing assembly needs and enabling lightweight, high-performance components, Nikon SLM Solutions’ technology provides ArianeGroup new opportunities to enhance lead time and reduce costs on complex, ultra-large-scale hardware for liquid propulsion critical applications.
Phase3D’s new online store aims to streamline access to Fringe Inspection™ for additive manufacturing
Phase3D, a provider of real-time inspection solutions for additive manufacturing, has unveiled a redesigned website and new online store to make it faster and easier for manufacturers to integrate Fringe Inspection™ into their production workflows. As demand grows for scalable, in-situ quality assurance, Phase3D’s streamlined platform removes barriers to procurement and adoption, helping teams improve print consistency and quality control with actionable, data-driven insights.
Phase3D’s online store enables customers to quickly request quotes and verify hardware compatibility. The store simplifies the buying process for production teams using the M2 Series, EOS M 290, or other additive manufacturing systems. These teams aim to boost print quality and consistency with objective measurement data.
Irpd AG supplies an Additive Machine Tool to Ecoparts

Last year, IRPD, a member of the United Grinding Group, launched the IMPACT 4530 Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB). The company announced it has received an order from Ecoparts, an AM service provider based in Switzerland.
According to Daniel Kündig, co-founder and Head of Technology at Ecoparts, what is particularly interesting for them is that the system can be automated relatively easily at a later date using robotics.
As a reminder, the IMPACT 4530 has a build volume of 450 x 300 x 400 mm and two or four fiber lasers with 1,000 watts each, enabling very high build rates.
The flexible build and powder container system allows fast material and job changes. Meanwhile, the multifunctional recoater with automatic recoater lip drum ensures smooth continuous operation. The system can also be scaled from a stand-alone machine to a fully automated system network.
