Additive Willmann relies on amsight’s quality management software
German metal 3D printing service provider Additive Willmann has selected amsight’s quality management software to strengthen traceability, reduce manual effort and support its customers’ serial AM production journey.

The company focuses on reliable, application-oriented AM solutions for demanding industrial use cases where precision, traceability, and repeatable quality are essential.

Furthermore, by replacing repetitive manual tasks with structured digital workflows, Additive Willmann expects quality-related processes to become faster, more robust, and less prone to error.
Quantum Cyber installs 80 3D printers for drone production
Quantum Cyber N.V., an autonomous defense technology company assembling an AI-powered System-of-Systems platform for drone warfare, counter-UAS, and border security applications, recently installed 80 3D printers for its drone production farm at its Connecticut facility.
The installation follows the completion of the company’s first mini-interceptor airframe at the same facility and the launch of its Advanced Filament Manufacturing Division.
The 3D printing farm will support the production of structural airframe components, enclosures, and printed subassemblies across the company’s planned attritable one-way attack, interceptor, surveillance, VTOL, and long-range PHANTOM-950 product lines.
The 3D printing farm is designed to consume both standard PETG filament and Formula A, Quantum Cyber’s patent-pending EMP-hardened composite filament, both intended to be produced in-house through the company’s previously announced Advanced Filament Manufacturing Division.
This vertical integration is intended to reduce external supply chain dependency, protect the company’s proprietary formulations, and support production scaling in response to customer demand.
Phase3D teams up with Phillips Federal to advance defense inspection technology
Thanks to a new agreement, Phillips Federal will now serve as Phase3D’s exclusive Channel Partner for the North American defense market.
As a reminder, the company’s inspection technology detects defects in real time throughout the manufacturing process. By identifying problems as they occur rather than after a build is complete, Phase3D helps manufacturers avoid wasted material and machine time, increase throughput, and reduce the overall cost of manufacturing.
With this partnership, the company’s solution will be made more accessible to defense organizations across North America.
Phillips Federal has worked with the federal government for more than 60 years and supports manufacturing programs through equipment sales, contracting, project management, training, service, and lifecycle support.
The partnership gives defense customers a familiar route to evaluate and purchase Phase3D technology, backed by a team that understands advanced manufacturing and the requirements of federal facilities.
Phase3D’s existing defense work includes systems deployed with the U.S. Navy’s Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Danville, Virginia, and the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing. The Phillips Federal relationship will allow Phase3D to extend that work across more defense organizations and manufacturing locations.
