HP’s 3D as a service, a well-thought solution to improve “Business Agility”

HP has recently expanded its “3D-as-a-service” (3DaaS) offering to new markets.

With the goal of adapting to a new environment, the new 3DaaS Plus subscription model completes the service provided by the manufacturer’s Jet Fusion 340 3D printer. Right now, customers will be able to benefit from supplies, service, customer support, and required training.

The offering is probably one of the well-thought solutions right now as professionals are currently very limited in resources. Indeed, industrials will be able to accelerate product life cycles with optimized in-house rapid prototyping and final part production.

HP’s all-inclusive 3D printing subscription services enable customers to produce high-quality parts at an economic price point while improving their capital and business flexibility, which is more important today than ever,” said Rebecca Campbell, Director of 3D Printing Services, HP Inc. “With the expansion of our 3DaaS Plus subscription, we are making it easier for companies to continue the important job of manufacturing, leveraging our predictable pay-per-use model that unlocks more agility and value.”

As a matter of fact, the launch of this service has taken into account simplified supplies ordering and inventory management with automatic supplies replenishment. Furthermore, customers will get access to an online dashboard for easy tracking of billing and usage, and another platform in case they need support or to conduct comprehensive training.

According to the manufacturer of metal AM solutions, 3DaaS Plus is the easiest and most economical way to get access to Multi Jet Fusion technology.

So far, Wallbox, Robotechnik and HIPP medical are a few names that already leverage this solution.

“One of the pillars of our product design is to make really compact yet powerful chargers. From this vision arose the necessity for a state-of-the-art integration between mechanics and electronics,” comments Eduard Castañeda, Chief Product Officer of Wallbox. “HP’s 3DaaS Plus helps us be even more agile in today’s rapidly changing environment and meet high customer expectations.”

As from today, April 1st, the offering will be available in the U.S., Italy, Germany, UK, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain, with Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Portugal, and Sweden.
