EOS’ Contract Manufacturing Network is now effective with seven partners across Europe to support all AM needs

Organizations that are looking to produce AM parts from rapid prototyping up to small series volumes of 1,000 parts can approach the network

A few weeks ago, during a morning coffee discussion with EOS’ Markus Glasser & Marius Lakomiec, we discussed the various ways advanced technology solutions could be made available to a broader range of industrial companies that do not always have the means to pay for these solutions. And Glasser, the Senior Vice President of EMEA, said EOS was working on a contract manufacturing process with certified manufacturers that would enable SMEs to benefit from advanced digital manufacturing solutions. This solution is now effective as EOS announced yesterday the creation of a new Contract Manufacturing Network.

The network connects end customers with established AM production partners, so they can create high quality parts in a fast and reliable way. Initially the network will be set up in EMEA with seven partners, namely FKMErproVolum-EPanklMaterialiseOerlikonHasenauer & Hesser. It will be expanded globally, with more partners joining over the coming months. The new Contract Manufacturing Network builds on EOS’ offerings in its existing partner networks. Customers searching for a trusted additive manufacturing partner to produce their parts, rather than manufacturing in-house, can approach the network for support – from rapid prototyping up to small series volumes of 1,000 parts.

“We want our customers to be successful. When outsourcing their AM production to a partner from the Contract Manufacturing Network, small series customers will get the same EOS quality and industry expertise all our customers are used to.

Our network partners are also able to act as pilot users for new technology developments at EOS, giving us valuable input and together developing the innovations that will shape the future of AM” Markus Glasser, Senior Vice President EMEA at EOS notes.

What criteria should be fulfilled to become a partner of the network?

Companies that want to become a partner undergo a thorough and dedicated evaluation, where they must fulfill certain criteria, such as needing to serve customers across EMEA. Experienced partners must have a minimum of five EOS systems installed from the latest generation of machines, which are regularly maintained and inspected. EOS offers all the tools needed to ensure remote service as part of a preventive maintenance program, enabling EOS production partners to offer the highest levels of performance and system availability.

Additionally, Contract Manufacturer Network partners must process either EOS or EOS ecosystem powder with their systems to ensure they can maintain the network’s clearly defined quality promise.

To ensure high quality standards, the partner must have a proven quality management system that complies with ISO 9001 and meet defined KPIs on areas such as customer satisfaction, scrap rates, and on-time delivery.

EOS Contract Manufacturing Network partners will be included to the MakerVerse partner hub, an EOS branded platform on MakerVerse. With this the network partners will have the opportunity to expand their reach to potential end-customers while making the ordering process as easy as possible. The collaboration of the EOS Contract Manufacturing Network with MakerVerse as its fulfillment partner allows customers to access all the production capacities of the EOS Contract Manufacturing Network at their fingertip, while questions, payment, purchase orders and invoicing are all being taken care of.
