Post-processing company DyeMansion acquires ASM, a company providing an entry-level production solution for Vapor Smoothing.

The vapor smoothing segment represents the largest share of the AM post-processing market, and with the addition of ASM’s VX1, DyeMansion now offers the most comprehensive and strongest vapor smoothing portfolio – covering three product levels from entry to high industrial solutions: VX1, Powerfuse S Manual, and Powerfuse S with automatic loading.

As a reminder, last year, as part of a global sales partnership, DyeMansion became the reseller of ASM’s VX1 smoothing system. The system being already known in the company’s reseller network, this acquisition seems like a logical step to further position the product in the market.

We are happy to announce that DyeMansion has acquired ASM. The 3D printing industry needs strong players that can sustainably consolidate the market and lead it into the next phase. That’s exactly our mission at DyeMansion – and with the acquisition of ASM, we are sending a clear signal to the market and our partners. We have been working together successfully for several years, and the ASM team has done an outstanding job. We’re excited to officially welcome them as part of the DyeMansion family”, says Felix Ewald, CEO & Co-Founder of DyeMansion.

ASM’s VX1 smoothing system

With its small footprint, the all-in-one plug-and-play design, and the largest process chamber in its class, the system is designed for service providers, corporate innovation teams & small-scale production environments in general. It runs with a green, reusable solvent cartridge system. The solvent is non-toxic, PFAS-free, and contains no CMR or vPvM/PMT substances – one of DyeMansion’s core principles of sustainability and safety.

The VX1 can process common materials such as PA12, PA11, and TPU. Like all DyeMansion products, it is seamlessly integrated into the Print-to-Product workflow, connecting smoothly with other post-processing steps such as cleaning and coloring.
