Creaform will offer 50 3D scanning software licenses to schools

Creaform joins the move of companies which are involved in the implementation of 3D printing and 3D scanning in education. The company will offer 50 free bundle licenses of the VXmodel scan-to-CAD software and VXinspect dimensional software.

To get the free bundle licenses, the educational institution just needs to buy any of the company’s 3D scanners or portable CMMs (CMM = Coordinate Measuring Machine systems).

The educational package

In addition to the 50 bundle licenses, a 3D scanner, portable CMM, the manufacturer of portable 3D measurement technologies includes in its package five years of software updates and technical support, one-year warranty on parts and labor, two system maintenances and a book on reverse engineering and quality control/inspection.

Creaform has always been firmly committed to helping educational institutions teach and master metrology solutions to better prepare students for research projects and the job market. This new Educational Package will enable professors and researchers to take their curriculum to a whole new level,” said Stéphane Auclair, Vice-President of Marketing and Product Management at Creaform.
