(Additive) Manufacturing marketplace Xometry Europe is now ISO 9001 certified

Xometry Europe has received the official recognition of its quality management with ISO 9001:2005 certification.

Xometry is one of the largest digital marketplaces that specialize in custom manufacturing with an array of technologies. Its strength relies in the combination of conventional manufacturing technologies and additive manufacturing technologies to meet the needs of its customers through short lead times.

Granted by SGS-TÜV Saar, the ISO 9001:2005 certification confirms that Xometry Europe meets the high standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in areas such as customer focus, handling of potential risks and quality policy.

It’s a rigorous process to become ISO 9001 certified”, we remember that Dr. Jacob Nuechterlein, Elementum 3D President and Founder said. “Not only does that make us feel confident we’re the most efficient that we can be, it assures our customers that we have a completely transparent and robust management system; and that means we have reliable, repeatable, continuously improving business processes so that our customers receive the best value for their money.”

Xometry’s certification follows a year of activities on the European market, and outlines the company’s ability to carefully select its suppliers.

The manufacturing partners operating throughout the European network and parts that they produce are regularly checked by a dedicated quality team.

This and numerous other quality-related processes were reviewed in the ISO audit at Xometry Europe. In addition, the TÜV auditors asked questions on the set of requirements for ISO 9001:2015.

As a reminder, this certification is an international standard that defines the requirements for internal quality management. With the help of the standard, companies can become more efficient and achieve higher customer satisfaction. For this purpose, the areas of a company are analysed by independent auditors, the existing processes are clarified and possible suggestions for improvements are given.
