From now, Continental will make industrial 3D printing its production technology. The provider of technologies and services for mobility of people and their goods recently purchased several EOS M 290 systems.

With EOS 3D printing technologies, the company wants to produce metal components in series. Therefore, EOS provided key support in installing the systems, training employees, developing applications, and launching manufacturing capacities.

The EOS M 290 system

The system enables to reproduce quality parts from CAD data.

With a building volume of 250 x 250 x 325 mm, the machine integrates an intuitive user interface, an intelligent software concept with a combination of open and standardized parameter sets and a filter system designed for the industrial production.

With over 500 machines sold worldwide, EOS demonstrates the quality of its system.

Markus Glasser, Senior Vice President Region Export at EOS said of the collaboration: “We are very proud of our joint project with Continental and look forward to supporting the customer throughout every stage of the project. In particular, the strong spirit of teamwork between our two companies was a key criterion in Continental’s decision to work together with EOS. We will also be very happy to provide Continental with any assistance it may need in other fascinating projects going forward.”
