Fives AddUp, the additive manufacturing subsidiary of the Fives Group, will establish U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities for its laser powder bed fusion FormUp 750. First industrialization activities are planned to begin in 2027 at Fives Machining Systems Inc’s existing facility in Hebron, Ohio.

The FormUp 750 is being designed and developed by Fives AddUp’s engineering teams in France. Machines for the European market will be manufactured and assembled in France, while planned U.S. manufacturing will serve the North American market.

This regional approach will bring production and support closer to customers while maintaining a common technology platform and consistent industrial standards.

The FormUp 350

The FormUp 750 can deploy up to 12 lasers. With a build volume of 750 x 750 x 1,000 mm, it enables manufacturers to produce larger components as single parts, consolidate assemblies, reduce joining operations, or manufacture multiple sizeable parts in one build.

It works perfectly with AddUp’s full digital suite which supports build preparation, production management, monitoring, traceability, and machine data, complemented by the company’s automation and integration expertise.

Lime most LPBF machines, it aims to meet the production needs of aerospace, defense, space, energy, maritime, and other advanced industries.

Supporting future FormUp 750 manufacturing through the Fives industrial network demonstrates how Fives AddUp and the Fives Group are investing in a stronger U.S. industrial ecosystem. By combining leading additive manufacturing technology with local production expertise, we are reinforcing critical supply chains, strengthening domestic capabilities, and bringing advanced metal 3D-printing solutions closer to American customers,” Matt Shockey, CEO, Fives High Precision Machines North America.
