On the heels of Climacool and Cavan Sullivan’s 3D printed football boots, adidas introduces a new pair of sneakers made with 3D printing. Named Futurecool, the new sneakers build on the 3D-printed Climacool platform while introducing a bold new design and enhanced comfort.
Like every pair of sneakers released by adidas, these sneakers have been manufactured with Carbon DLS, a technology the sports brand has been leveraging for a decade now.
“Futurecool redefines what a sneaker can be, combining advanced printing technology and engineering with a design that looks and feels like nothing you have worn before. It’s designed for those who want to embrace the future before it becomes mainstream,” says Alexander Taylor, SV Innovation Design, adidas.
Designed for those seeking something different from conventional sneaker design, the new sneakers combine 360° breathability and adaptive-fit comfort with distinctive sculpted proportions and futuristic curves.
adidas’ Futurecool combines a sculpted aesthetic with advanced performance features, offering a shoe that looks progressive and feels effortlessly breathable thanks to its 360° ventilation system.
Its seamless, second‑skin construction adapts naturally to the foot for all‑day comfort, while next‑generation additive manufacturing enables a fully 3D‑printed, single‑piece structure that blends resin with specialized materials to deliver durability, lightness and a smooth, adaptive fit.
adidas will offer first access to Futurecool through a limited release of 400 individually numbered pairs.
