Announced at AMUG 2026 in Reno last week, the strategic partnership between Würth Additive Group (WAG) and B9Creations brings together two complementary capabilities with a shared goal: making validated, on-demand spare parts production genuinely repeatable across distributed manufacturing networks.
B9Creations, a U.S.-based manufacturer of precision 3D printers and systems integrator, contributes a structured production-scale QA/QC framework to the collaboration, covering everything from printer fingerprinting and fleet baseline establishment to factory and site acceptance testing, operational and performance qualification, and ongoing fleet monitoring.
The company’s approach is deliberately technology-agnostic, meaning its validation infrastructure can be deployed regardless of the hardware in use.
Würth Additive Group brings its Digital Inventory Services (DIS) platform and the global logistics backbone of the Würth Group. The DIS solution enables manufacturers to replace physical stock with digital part files that can be produced on demand, at any node in the network, to consistent quality standards.
The combination addresses the inability to guarantee that a part produced in one facility will match a part produced in another. By embedding B9Creations’ qualification protocols directly into WAG’s digital inventory ecosystem, the partnership aims to close that gap, giving manufacturers a path from digital file to validated physical part, anywhere in the world, with documented process control.
“The missing link has been standardized quality at scale,” said AJ Strandquist, CEO of Würth Additive Group. B9Creations CEO Shon Anderson framed the partnership as a step toward helping manufacturers move “beyond pilot purgatory and into sustainable production“, a phrase that captures the broader challenge the industry still faces.
The announcement builds on WAG’s growing presence in the digital inventory space.
