With the PA-300, Precision Additive claims the fastest AI-enabled LPBF metal 3D printer on the market.

Precision Additive, an OEM based in the US, has launched its first metal 3D printer: PA-300.
Founded in 2023, the OEM is also a supplier of on-demand, production parts. The company’s leaders bring decades of deep expertise in defense, technology, and business.
Although defense remains the primary vertical industry they target, the company also targets aerospace, energy, medical, and other mission-critical applications with the launch of PA-300.
The PA Series
Described as the “fastest printer ever made using its proprietary SSLM laser technology and built with intelligence powered by AI architecture”, the metal 3D printer’s capabilities are unified through Precision Additive Qualification (PAQ), a data-driven framework that ensures consistent, repeatable results from build to build.
According to the company, its proprietary technology, the advanced SSLM™ laser enables build speeds up to ten times faster than conventional systems, directly improving production performance.
Embedded AI continuously monitors the build and automatically corrects deviations in real time, creating a “self-healing” process that protects part integrity. It AI architecture capability is the result of a deep collaboration with NVIDIA with which the company has worked to ensure real-time process optimization, predictive quality assurance, and scalable qualification workflows.
That said, the machine stands out due to its ability to print magnesium alloys, which are historically recognized as difficult to manufacture using AM.
The PA series of machines is configured to print metal alloys, including hard to print materials like magnesium, tungsten, and copper.
“Additive manufacturing is entering a new era defined by intelligence, reliability, and accountability,” said Bala Anand Jeldi, Founder and CEO of Precision Additive. “Precision Additive was created to ensure advanced manufacturing systems are not only innovative, but dependable enough to support the most demanding applications.”
