Investment firm 819 Capital Partners acquires 3D printing filament producer BEDROCK 3D produces. The Emmen-based company will join Novio-Scan Holding, the Group in which technology companies active in 3D printing are brought together.
With this acquisition, Novio-Scan Holding adds materials expertise to a Group already active across hardware, software and end-use applications.
Insolution is also part of the Novio-Scan Group. Insolution provides 3D printers to podiatrists for the production of custom insoles, combining these with scanning, proprietary software and materials. The company uses both traditional milling technology and its own proprietary 3D printing technology.
The Novio-Scan Group brings together companies and technologies that complement and strengthen each other across materials, hardware, software and specific end-use applications.
The combination of BEDROCK 3D and Insolution illustrates this strategy. BEDROCK 3D brings in-depth expertise in materials and filaments, while Insolution contributes printers, software and a proven end market in which these materials are used on a daily basis. Together, the Group covers the value chain from filament to finished product.
In the coming period, the focus at BEDROCK 3D will be on further growing the business. At the same time, Novio-Scan will continue to actively explore additional companies and technologies within the 3D printing market that can further strengthen the Group.
