Meet EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus, a Multifunctional Handheld 3D Scanner

Since the opening of their new office in the USA, Shining 3D had not released any new product on the market. The new EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus is therefore the new comer in this family of 3D technologies.

With this new technology, the manufacturer demonstrates how much it is capable of combining “3D scan – design & simulation – additive manufacturing” in its technologies, in order to satisfy the quality requirements of professionals.

Based on the feedback received from thousands of users and the valuable input of SHINING 3D’s own R&D team, the EinScan Pro 2X & 2X Plus deliver substantial improvements on scan speed, accuracy and function,” said Oscar Meza, VP of Global Sales at SHINING 3D. “Making a dramatic breakthrough in scanning speed and data quality, the EinScan Pro 2X series is aimed to improve the efficiency in generating high-quality 3D models.

In addition to its accuracy capability, and its capability to scan at a very fast pace (Processes up to 1,500,000 points per second (30 fps) under Handheld Rapid Scan Mode. High Speed Data Transmission – USB 3.0), the scanner is portable & has a User-friendly Design. It can be used under the Versatile Scan Modes & Align Modes.

The 3D scanner enables a wide range of applications through its different packs: color pack, industrial pack, and HD Prime Pack.

The specialist of 3D scanning has unveiled this scanner a few weeks ago at Formnext alongside with the Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition software, which comes from the collaboration between Siemens PLM Software and SHINING 3D.

This software is intended for applications in reverse engineering, generative design, and simulation together with CAD tool in one single platform. “The integration of Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition, EinScan 3D scanners and 3D printer enables users a complete solution covering 3D digitize – design & simulate –additive manufacturing,” said Oscar Meza, “it will significantly improve the efficiency and quality for designers, engineers and researchers.”
