Dara Treseder joins the C-Suite of 3D printing company Carbon as its first CMO

A very important thing about the C-Suite is that every role matters: CEO, CFO, CTO (for tech companies like Carbon) and CMO. Each of these persons has a crucial role to play in the advancement of the company and among all of them, the only one who can lead and drive marketing efforts in order to build and increase the brand’s growth is the CMO.

Dara Treseder, ex-Chief Marketing Officer for GE Ventures and GE Business Innovations will play that role at Carbon. By appointing Dara Treseder to this newly created position of its top management team, Carbon clearly shows the 3D printing community how much it values the “customer” and that it is ready to lead customer satisfaction initiatives from the top.

Before giving this new branding to the company, Carbon has succeeded in creating awareness by demonstrating its expertise and capabilities in a wide range of fields: sport through a partnership with adidas, home appliances with Vitamix and even the digital dentistry; fields that Dara Treseder is capable to handle and to push forward.

Indeed, Dara’s expertise in building leading global marketing organizations will enable Carbon to drive the digital transformation of the industry. Given the constant growth of the company, its current and upcoming partnerships, Dara’s duty consists in finding new ways to showcase Carbon’s story at scale.

It makes no doubt that the new CMO is ready to fulfill her mission as she already feels inspired by the manufacturer’s vision and values. To give you an overview of this strong personality, “before joining GE, Dara led marketing efforts at Apple and Goldman Sachs. She is also the co-founder of consulting firm, NeuBridges. Dara has been widely recognized for her knowledge and achievements in marketing and technology. In 2018, she was featured by Forbes as a “CMO Next” – one of 50 executives the business publication identified as redefining the CMO’s role and shaping the future of marketing. Dara was also named by AdAge as one of the “Women to Watch” this year. In 2017, she was recognized on Inc. as one of the “30 Inspirational Women to Watch in Tech.”

Today, she can start this new page of her life with the support of the whole company: “The entire team joins me in welcoming Dara to Carbon,” said Dr. Joseph DeSimone, Carbon’s CEO and Co-founder. “Dara joins us at a critical time in Carbon’s journey, as we push the boundaries of technology and execute our strategy to create a new standard for digital manufacturing across the globe. Her passion and extensive experience in marketing and technology will play an instrumental role in Carbon achieving its ambitious goals.”
