Smile Direct Club is a great example of this fact. The oral care specialist expanded its collaboration with HP to revolutionize the way that millions of people can achieve a straighter smile. The producer of aligners is becoming the largest producer of 3D Printed parts using HP Multi Jet Fusion in the US.
The company has been founded in 2014. In 5 years, it has built a digital network of state licensed dentists and orthodontists who prescribe teeth straightening treatment plans. Smile Direct Club has launched a proprietary tele-dentistry platform that enables to manage all aspects of clinical care from diagnosis through the completion of treatment. With customers in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, the company has now plan to expand to Australia and the UK in 2019.

Indeed, leveraging HP Jet Fusion 3D printing solutions enables the manufacturer to produce over 50,000 personalized mouth molds per day; a production that will double with a fleet of 49 HP Jet Fusion 4210 3D printers.
So far, we haven’t yet seen such a big number of 3D printed parts in digital dentistry. Smile Direct Club is doing things big.
