Microsoft updates its remix 3D modelling app

Remix 3D is a Microsoft’s platform where users share 3D models from Paint 3D and other 3D modeling tools. Microsoft makes it easy to create, remix and share in 3D the content on this application; a project that is made possible thanks to Windows 10 Creators Update, especially with the release of Paint 3D.

The truth is, the more the content evolves, the more it becomes difficult to preserve its original attribution. The idea of this update is then to enable every user to be inspired by every artist, or remix.

In practice…

Two tabs are now available on any model page: Parts and Remixes. Parts will display the individual parts that make up the model” whereas “the Remixes tab is a way to show how other creators are inspired and building off other amazing creations.”  The company also adds: “if someone remixed a model you created, their new design would point back to your original model in the Remixes tab.

The best part of it is that those two tabs will be accessible everywhere Paint 3D and Remix 3D will be.
