Hans J. Langer, inducted into 3D printing TCT Hall of Fame

Dr. Hans J. Langer, Executive Chairman of the EOS Group and founder of EOS, specialist of Industrial 3D Printing of metals and polymers, received an honor at the TCT awards ceremony.

As a reminder, the Hall of Fame Awards ceremony celebrates the innovators, technologies and collaborators behind the leading 3D technologies who have helped shape the industry since the inception of these technologies about thirty years ago.

James Woodcock, Head of Content at TCT Group, explains: “through a rigorous nomination and voting process, involving input from our Expert Advisory Board, and a free and open public vote, we are delighted to have Dr. Hans J. Langer as one of our inaugural Hall of Fame inductees.

After founding EOS in 1989, Dr Langer focused his expertise in a dozen companies, on the one hand; on the other hand, he played a key role in a number of technological developments including  metal laser melting and additive manufacturing.

With Adrian Keppler as CEO of EOS GmbH, Dr. Langer’s focus will be on the direction of the EOS Group as whole, managing the strategic expansion and development of its global operations.

Regarding his induction into the TCT Hall of Fame, “it is an honour to be recognised as one of the leaders in 3D printing, and I am delighted to be inducted into TCT Group’s Hall of Fame.”

This induction is testament to the fantastic team I have had around me at EOS, and the talented group of people I’ve been lucky to work with over the last 30 years or so. Since the late 1980’s, I’ve been looking at ways to further this industry and show the potential of the technology on a grand scale, and EOS has allowed me to grow and develop beyond what I even thought was possible.
